At least for cycling. I had a few days, the bicycle kept inviting me, so the natural thing to do was head out for some touring.
A couple of favourite spots to revisit, such as this one in the Watagans:

The facilities? Water, if lucky:
A billy for tea in places that piss on any cafe:
And meals cooked in the only civilised way to do so (this time at Broke):
But what about that road? A couple of roads in the upper Hunter really are the best stretches of road for bicycles in the world. Not so much this one, frequented by logging trucks in the Watagan Forest:
But this one, out the back of Mangoola. Why? It was never built as a bicycle track, but the single lane road through magnificent country without a car on it is perhaps the best of all.
And of course Lenin was along with me, enjoying the comforts of home:
