Years in the making, long awaited, Robert Crumb’s no holds barred cartoon-illustrated book of Genesis should be out soon. It may well rival The Brick Testament for the explicit sex, violence and general mayhem. I’m hoping it will be at the SBL bookstands, since I’ll need to deal with it my Fleshly Readings, which I start writing in January.

Wow, Eve’s feet are friggin’ massive. I would want to ‘cleave’ way less if my wife had feet that size and wide. They’re like elevens, quadruple E or something.

Unless of your course you’re into feet – fetish-wise… Crumb seems to like drawing women with massive feet, thunder thighs and really pointy nipples.

I always remember seeing the doco Crumb (1994) and being amazed at this guy, But it’s his family that were so out-there – by the end of the movie you honestly feel that he is so NORMAL compared to them!
The image of his brother, who didn’t leave his bedroom for 20+ years or something (although that is a likely candidate for a furphy!) and continuously ate a long piece of string so that he was both eating it and shitting it at the same time – THE SAME TIME people!!! (another furphy?) is indelibly etched on the movie-screen of my brain …
